I had a weird dream last night, and I woke up messed up. We were in a building. A big one could rightly tell you where. All I know is we were walking towards a large room and on our left was a desk. As we walked past, some women had given the clerk 1000000 dollars. She was so excited because she had just made it. I remember feeling a sense of jealousy, but I was happy for her success. As we continued walking, I looked at my phone and noticed all our money was gone. We had 200 dollars left. Flash forward, and I'm headed towards an elevator. I get in, but I hit a switch by accident that takes you to the restricted floors. I remember as I was going down, the elevator got smaller and smaller and older, looking until finally it stopped. After a moment, I realized I was in a tight wooden framed box, and there was no longer a door. I looked above my head and saw one of those sliding locks that you lift and slide. I unlocked it and pushed, and a panel moved, revealing a small 1x3 opening. I looked through it, and there were spiders around, but I crawled through anyway and found myself in an old part of the building we were in before. It was dirty and disheveled. I found myself in a corner office, and I could see valuables on the desks. I looked around and found 3 Rolex watches and put them in my pocket. They were bulging and noisy as I walked. Made my way up the stairs to the main building again, and I had this sense of fear that someone would see them in my pocket. I felt them get bigger and bigger. I made my way to the exit and got outside. The next bit gets a little fuzzy, but I remember seeing my children strong and well taken care of. One had done well for themselves and made a good living building houses. Then I woke up feeling bad for my actions. I went back to sleep and found myself in the same area, but the aura had changed. My children were upset with me. So I helped them build a house for a family that didn't have one and I woke up again.
Dreams often reflect inner thoughts, emotions, and experiences, weaving them into narratives that can be symbolic and meaningful. Let's break down the elements of your dream to explore its potential interpretations:
Building and Large Room: Buildings in dreams can symbolize your sense of self or your life experiences. A large room might represent potential opportunities or feelings of openness. However, the feeling of navigating through this space may suggest that you're exploring different aspects of your life or trying to find clarity.
Jealousy and Success: Witnessing the woman celebrating her success could indicate a desire for achievement or financial stability in your own life. Your conflicting feelings of jealousy and happiness suggest an awareness of your own aspirations and perhaps dissatisfaction with your current situation. It's common to feel envy when others succeed, even while genuinely wishing them well.
Loss of Money: Discovering that your money is gone could symbolize fears about financial insecurity or a sense of loss in some area of your life. This might tie back to your feelings of inadequacy or concerns about not measuring up to societal standards of success.
Elevator to Restricted Floors: Elevators can represent transitions or moving between different states of being. Accidentally descending to restricted floors may suggest that you fear descending into areas of your subconscious that you deem unsafe or inappropriate. The gradual shrinking of the elevator reflects growing discomfort or the feeling of becoming trapped in a situation.
Wooden Box and Spider Imagery: The transition to a claustrophobic space (the box) represents feelings of restriction or entrapment in your life. Spiders often symbolize fears, anxiety, or feelings of being entangled in a web of your own making. This exploration into the unknown could signify confronting your fears or dealing with issues that you have tried to avoid.
Valuables and Rolex Watches: Finding the watches could represent material success or desires that you feel the need to keep hidden (perhaps out of guilt or shame about acquiring them). The bulging and noisy pocket suggests that what you possess may weigh heavily on you, linking back to feelings about success and morality.
Children and Mortality: The presence of your children, depicted as well taken care of, speaks to your values or concerns regarding family and providing for them. Seeing them successful enforces the idea of caring for others as a priority in your life.
Helping Build a House: The later dream where you help your children construct a home symbolizes redemption or the desire to rectify past mistakes. Helping those in need resonates with creating stability and nurturing relationships. The act of building together may represent a recommitment to your values and to fostering well-being in your family.
Fuzzy Ending and Guilt: Waking up feeling bad could reflect an internal conflict about your actions and desires. This suggests a strong moral compass and a need to reassess your definition of success — questioning if material gain compromises personal integrity or familial relationships.
Overall, your dream seems to navigate feelings of success, failure, morality, familial responsibility, and self-awareness. It may be urging you to evaluate your priorities and consider how your ambitions align with your values, particularly concerning your family and personal self-esteem.
